Founded in 1875, Wadworth & Co Ltd boasts an enviable tradition in the brewing of fine beers coupled with an excellent estate of both tenanted and managed houses. Our tenanted estate comprises over 200 pubs located in some of the most beautiful parts of the South of England.
We have decided to restructure the support given to our licensees and, consequently, a vacancy has arisen for an additional Licensee Business Development Manager.
Reporting to the Tenanted Trade Director this pivotal role is responsible for managing a nominated area of the tenanted estate and maximising the income in accordance with the strategic and policy requirements of the Company.
The key areas of responsibility involve identifying the market potential, house by house, and retaining/appointing suitable licensees in order to maximise income potential; budgeting and planning; proactive licensee communication, training and ongoing support. It is also essential that a network of contacts within the industry is actively developed.
The successful candidate should be forward thinking and demonstrate the ability to introduce new initiatives; they will have a team player’s “can do” attitude with the ability and desire to get the job done. Energy and communication are key attributes to achieving in this role. A good understanding of the tenanted trade environment is fundamental to the role and knowledge of the ‘Wadworthshire’ geographical area would be desirable.
Excellent computer skills are essential (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) as is a full clean UK driver’s licence
